This weekend I had the privilege of speaking the Roanoke Regional Writers Conference on the lovely Hollins University campus. My session was called “Sense of Place: Creating it in your Fiction.” Thanks to everyone who attended! (We had to move into the auditorium!) Yay! I can now officially announce that I’ll be part of the Virginia Festival of the Book in Charlottesville, Virginia! So far, I know I will be on a middle-grade fiction panel on Saturday, March 23rd from 2-3:30 pm. Plus I’ll be visiting Jack Jouett and Walton Middle Schools on March 22nd. The full festival schedule will be released in mid-January.
btw, I’m psyched to see Jason Reynolds speak!
